Kings and Jah Scout recording artist Norris Man reasons with IREGGAE.COM
about his current album, Persistence. Norris Man
came to San Francisco to record several new tracks with artist and producer Colin
McGregor of Jah Scout Records. The new album 'Better
Your Soul' is expected be released in the spring of 2000, and will include
several acoustic tracks, one of which is featured during this interview. Norris
Man discusses his musical background and influences, as well as his observations
of life in america. Colin McGregor joins Norris to talk about their
upcoming release and reasons about some of the trials and tribulations of being a producer
of reggae music in Jamaica.

Norris Man reasons with Ireggae
about his having spent the past year touring with Anthony B and the Star
Trail family. They toured extensively throughout the United States and
Canada, including performing at Reggae on the River. Norris
discusses his having made his first journey to Africa, which included stops in Senegal,
Gambia and Malawi. Norris relates how he and Anthony B
were mobbed by the crowds in Gambia who nearly turned their car over in admiration. Norris
also reasons about repatriation and his views regarding the future of Africa and black
people.
The finishing touches are being put on Norris' new album 'Better
Your Soul', which will be released early next year.
